Privacy and local PDF processing
PDF is designed to process documents directly in your browser.
No document upload
PDF contents are read on your device. Editing, signing, organization, compression and password protection do not require uploading the file to the PDF cloud.
Limited technical data
With Statistics consent, PDF may measure visits, page, language, opens, exports, export format, source category and general device, browser and operating-system categories. Country may be derived by the proxy and aggregated, but the IP address and full User-Agent are not stored. Filenames, document contents and PDF text are not recorded. Daily data is retained for up to 90 days.
Technical security logs
The infrastructure may temporarily process IP address, date, time, requested path and essential technical information for security, abuse prevention and fault diagnosis. These logs are separate from dashboard statistics, are not used for profiling and are retained for no more than 14 days unless needed to investigate a security incident.
User control
The edited document is generated when you choose to download it. Temporary session data is removed according to normal browser behavior.
Cookies, local storage and external services
Necessary features use local storage, sessionStorage and IndexedDB for consent, the editor session, saved signatures and PDFs kept on the device. Internal anonymous statistics and the Buy Me a Coffee widget are optional. Sitemaps, metadata and indexing by search engines such as Google or Bing do not read PDFs or add Google Analytics code.
Change or withdraw your choice
You can reopen Cookie settings in the footer at any time, change Statistics and External content separately, or return to necessary features only. Withdrawing consent does not prevent use of the PDF editor.
Technical transparency and verification
Documented features are checked with text PDFs, scanned documents, signatures, images and large files. Tests verify both the interface and the contents of the exported copy while keeping the original document separate and unchanged.
Compatibility also depends on the browser, available memory and PDF structure. Embedded fonts, complex forms, certified digital signatures or restrictions created by the original software may require an additional check in the recipient's preferred PDF application.
This documentation describes the current product behavior and was reviewed on 19 July 2026. The Privacy and Security pages explain local processing, limited anonymous statistics and the checks that remain under user control.
